The National conference was held in the Dandenong ranges, Melbourne. Landing at the Melbourne airport early July left this visitor from Perth snap frozen until I arrived one week later back in Perth.
Four people made up the Western Australian contingent to the conference, and we were outnumbered dramatically, with 300 other University students and staff workers attending.
Through out the conference I made valuable friendships with other Christian university students. I also learnt about the direction of Students For Christ nationally and the part God has to reach the university campuses in Australia. One area that challenged me was that we should all aim to do the best we can with our God given abilities in whatever we do, including our areas of ministry.
With the conference running from Monday to Friday, and my holidays to a close, the weekend saw me exploring Melbourne. I visited both the MCG and Optus oval to watch a game, saw Beauty and the Beast at the Pricncess Royal Theatre, did some shopping at the huge Queen Victoria Markets and saw Melbourne from high above in the Rialto tower. I thoroughly reccommend travelling around on the Trams too.
